by Greg Drawbaugh
February 20th, 2012

In the first half of 2008, World Airways added its first Boeing 747-4H6 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF).  The former Malaysian passenger aircraft has now been joined in the fleet by a sister ship, as well as two former Singapore -412s.  This decal provides the markings for all four aircraft (N740WA-N743WA), and is available in both 1:200 and 1:144 scales.

Pan Am 787 Dreamliners Released

by Greg Drawbaugh
February 9th, 2012

Since only a few 1:1 scale 787′s have been delivered, we thought it would be fun to create this one as a Flight of Fancy for the excellent Zvezda – Revell 787 kit in 1:144 scale.

In keeping with its tradition of launching new types, Pan American joined Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) as the launch customer for Boeing’s 787-8 Intercontinental aircraft.  The initial order comprised 10 Rolls-Royce powered aircraft.

Lufthansa Cargo 747-230F’s Released

by Greg Drawbaugh
February 5th, 2012

Lufthansa Cargo as we know it today was formed in 1994 when Lufthansa absorbed the aircraft and operations of its German Cargo subsidiary.  The queen of the fleet at that time was the Boeing 747-230.  The 747 fleet was a mix of factory-built freighters and converted passenger -230Bs.  All aircraft were powered by GE CF6 engines.  Beginning in 1998, the 747 was phased out in favor of McDonnell-Douglas MD-11s, with the last Whale retired in 2005.

This set is available in both 1:144 and 1:200 scales, and works nicely with the recently re-released 747-200 kits from both Revell and Hasegawa, and joins our extensive line of other Lufthansa decals.
