"Little Nugget" F6F Hellcat in 1/72 Scale

 

Alaska Airline's Hellcat, this F6F-3 was owned by Alaska's CEO Charles Willis, Jr, around 1970.  Michael built a stock 1/72 scale kit painted gloss white, with a red engine block and a black glare shield.

Tom built this 737-700 by cutting down a Revell 737-800 in 1/144 scale.

The various grey parts like that around the APU intake fairing is blank decal paper painted with the BAC grey.

Erik built a stock Minicraft DC-8-71 kit in 1/144 scale.  Erik's model took second place at the November 4th Jaeren plasticmodell show held in Stavanger, Norway.

Transavia New Colors 737-700

 

Alan used a  Revell 737-800 cut down to a -700 (see Downloads for a file on where to make the cuts) and In Formation's complete wing replacement.  Engines are In Formation's as well and winglets from the recent Skyline/DACO 737 kit.  The upper beacon and wingtip ID lights are model railroad reflectors from MV Lenses. Antennae and drain masts are from the Platz Photo-etched sheet.  Detail decals from Liveries Unlimited.

Rick Drury built this Challenger by using the 1/144 scale Revell kit and Model Master Gloss Dark Sea Blue darkened with additional black.  The prototypes are VERY dark blue.
