Prior to its merger with North Central to become Republic Airlines, Southern Airways operated a fleet of over 30 “Baby-9s” – Douglas DC-9-14s and -15s. Two of these aircraft were DC-9-15RCs with cargo doors and a second overwing exit on each side of the fuselage. This decal depicts any of Southern’s fleet of Baby-9s in the scheme prior to the merger. All of the white markings in this decal have been double-printed to ensure opacity over the dark blue painted areas.
