AirBaltic began operations in 1995 as a joint venture between SAS and the government of Latvia. Initially, the airline flew Saab SF340s and Avro RJs. Later, Boeing 737-500s and -300s were added. In April 2008, the first of two Boeing 757-200s (former Iberia aircraft) was painted in full airBaltic colors. Originally delivered without winglets, both aircraft have now been retrofitted with them. Our decal has been updated to fit the Zvezda kit.
