KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was a long time Douglas operator, and KLM was also an early operator of the DC-10-30. KLM took delivery of their first DC-10 in 1974, and finally retired the last one in the early 1990s as the MD11s arrived. PH-DTA also served as the prototype DC-10-30.
