Description
Air China, the flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China, was formed in 1988 when the former CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) was reorganized into separate airlines based on their geographic region. Air China took over most of the international long-haul routes and aircraft. In 1997, Air China ordered its first Boeing 777-200s. Currently, there are 10 aircraft in the fleet. The aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney engines.
