Description

Northwest operated three L-9D Orions during the thirties, and #50 was the most photographed. It ended up flying as a fighter for the Spanish Republican Air Force, and it was shot down in 1937. NWA???s Orions were glossy white overall, with gloss black areas on the upper wing as shown. Some photos show #50 with a three-bladed propeller. This decal is designed to fit the 1/72 Special Hobby kit which already has a decal with NWA markings on it, but they are grossly wrong (things like red on top of the wing, wrong stripes, etc.).
