Description

The F6F-5 Hellcat was the first airplane flown by the US Navy Blue Angels. The Hellcat was only used in 1946, and was quickly replaced by the F8F Bearcat. Blue Angel 1 was flown by Lt. Commander Roy “Butch” Voris, the team leader.  This decal is printed on the ALPS printer using the metallic gold ink to simulate the gold leaf which was used on these Hellcats.

Here is a completed 1:48 Hasegawa Hellcat built by Jeff Thomson.
