Description

North Carolina-based Piedmont Airlines was known as the “Up and Coming Airline” for its growth from a small regional carrier to one of the United States’ Majors (revenue greater than $1 billion) in a few short years following deregulation. An early customer for the 737, the airline would go on to become the world’s largest 737 operator by the late 1980s, and was the launch customer for the stretched 737-400 variant. This decal provides the markings for the first 10 737-401s in the standard scheme.
