Description
At one time, Emery Worldwide was one of largest operators of Douglas DC-8 freighters. While the aircraft flew for parent company Emery Worldwide Freight, they were operated by Emery Worldwide Airlines, until the airline was forced to shut down or face the revocation of its operating certificate by the FAA, following a series of failures in its maintenance program. Emery operated several variants of the DC-8, including the -54, -62, -63, -71, and -73. Emery’s final color scheme featured an all-white fuselage with green and red stripes.
