44s_C124_1ang_profileBeginning in the second half of the 1960s, Air National Guard units began receiving Douglas C-124 Globemasters as the active duty force began taking delivery of newer C-141 Starlifters. One of these Guard units, the 165th Military Airlift Group (Georgia ANG) was the first Guard unit to receive the C-124 and the final Air Force unit to operate the type. This decal provides the markings for all ANG units that operated the C-124 – two Georgia units, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, two Tennessee units and Utah.C124_1ang_inst_p1
