The first jet-powered “Air Force Ones” were three 707-120s, VC-137As that were delivered in the late 1950s. These were used as the primary Presidential transport until the first specially built VC-137C arrived in 1963, SAM 26000. A second purpose-built VC-137C was added 10 years later, SAM 27000, and these two Presidential aircraft served until the VC-25As were delivered in 1990. Over the years, both wore different variations of the Loewy-designed scheme. Our decal depicts the final scheme used for the two purpose-built VC-137Cs that are now displayed in museums, 26000 at the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio and 27000 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California.
