Acting as a hedge against the delays with the Lockheed Tristar program, Delta Air Lines placed an order for five DC-10-10s. These DC-10s were sold and immediately leased back from United Airlines, and were only operated from October 1972 to May 1975. For a short period in the early 1970s, Delta had the unique distinction of operating the DC-10, L-1011 and 747 simultaneously. -
In 2015, Korean Air ordered its first narrowbody Airbus aircraft - the A321neo. The order is for 30 aircraft, with options for 20 more. The first aircraft HL8505, will be delivered in late 2022. This decal provides the markings for any aircraft in the fleet. -
In October 2024, DHL moved two of its 777Fs from DHL UK to Central Airlines of China. The aircraft retain the basic DHL colors, with a new tail logo replacing the DHL logo and new titles above the mid-fuselage stripes, replacing the large DHL titles. -
Korean Air has painted several aircraft in the special Skyteam color scheme. This includes 777-3B5ER HL7783. The aircraft joins two 737-800s and a formerly operated 777-200 that have worn this scheme at the Korean carrier. -
In early 2025, Korean Air unveiled a complete corporate re-branding. The update features a new font, as well as a new version of the Taeguk (Yin-Yang logo). For the airline’s freighter aircraft, the CARGO titles have been eliminated. This decal provides the markings for the B777F fleet, with HL8285 being the first airframe to be repainted. -
In 1984, Pan American Airways adopted a modified color scheme for its aircraft featuring very large fuselage titles. In the years that followed, the “billboard” scheme was slowly applied to the existing fleet. Only three 747SPs received the new titles before the fleet was sold to United with the sale of Pan Am’s Pacific routes. This decal allows the modeling of any of the three aircraft that wore these colors. -
British Airways initially took delivery of the smaller 787-8 Dreamliner in June of 2013. Like many other operators, subsequent deliveries have been of the larger 787-9 and 787-10. Our decal depicts any of the 12 strong fleet of the -10 variant British Airways now operates. -
Long time Douglas customer United Airlines was an early operator of the DC-10 trijet taking delivery of the first of an initial batch of 25 DC-10-10s in 1971. All 25 were delivered in the classic United “Friend Ship” scheme which our decal depicts. -
From 2002 through 2015, Air France operated a small fleet of 747-400ERF freighters. Six aircraft were delivered new from the Everett factory. Only two aircraft received Air France’s revised color scheme before the fleet was retired. This decal provides the markings for F-GIUA and F-GIUD that wore these colors. -
For a few short months, South African Airways operated a small fleet of four A350-900s prior to their shutdown in 2020. While South African was eventually able to restart operations, all of their A350s had already been returned to their lessors. -
The Boeing P-8A Poseidon has now replaced the Lockheed P-3 Orion in US Navy front line Patrol Squadron service. This decal provides the markings for the P-8s of VP-30 Pro’s Nest out of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. This squadron is the “school house” for the P-8 community. -
Union de Transports Aériens - UTA was a French airline which was absorbed into Air France starting in 1990. UTA was a long time DC-8 operator, five of which were the stretched “Super DC-8-63." Our decal depicts the classic “Green Door” UTA livery for the two DC-8-63PFs that wore the full UTA colors, F-BOLL and F-BOLM, both ex-Eastern Air Lines aircraft.

How did we get our Name?
My father is a US Army-trained draftsman, and he always signed his drawings with the initials “DRAW.” Since we have to DRAW our decals, and DRAW is also the first four letters of my last name, it seemed to be a natural name for our company.
What is the idea behind DRAW Decal?
I produce airline decals that normally would not be popular enough to justify mass producing. Each decal is printed as demand warrants, one page at a time by a professional print house. This makes for slow production, but it allows us to individually inspect each decal and to also update the decal sets as the need arises. While these production sets are all currently available, they are only produced (i.e. printed) as they are ordered. I have no large pile of unsold, unpopular decals to contend with this way. Our decals are as close to custom-made as possible.
Who creates your art?
The art work for our decals is created by a group of artists, with each one contributing sets of their own unique design and preference. Currently, DRAW Decal offers decals designed by: Tim Bradley, Mike Egan, Norm Filer, Mike Jernfors, Jeff Thomsen and yours truly, Greg Drawbaugh. Each set is identified by whom designed it unless I was the one who designed it.
How do I do that?
Our decals are printed in our exclusive Next Generation DIGITAL Silk process using a large format digital printer that prints white ink. We do NOT sell ANY laser-printed decals. Laser printers are for printing instruction sheets, not printing decals.
We are made the switch to our latest Next Generation DIGITAL Silk process to provide what we believe to be among the highest quality decals in the industry. We also want to be able to provide subjects that just would not print well using any other process. Quality and value have always been our driving force, and we continue to push the limits of what our printer and artwork is capable of producing. We operate under a continual improvement process for all of our decals.
Do you run out of stock?
No, as I print decals only as they are ordered. This ensures that the decals are fresh and never out of stock. This also allows me to make corrections and additions to each set as they occur.
Once applied, these decals will look just like they were painted on, rather than just “stickers” applied over a paint job. Remember, the art of decaling is making it look like you did not use any decals!
