  • Western “Swizzle Stick” Scheme 737-200s

    Price range: $7.50 through $33.00
    Salt Lake City, Utah based Western Airlines operated over 50 737-200s. The first ones arrived in 1968, and the initial ones were delivered in the classic “Indian Head” scheme. Starting in 1969, Western rebranded into the “Swizzle Stick” scheme which featured a bold red stripe with a large “W” on the fuselage, named after Western’s iconic cocktail stirring stick with the same large “W”. This scheme lasted until 1983 when it was replaced by the final “Arrow, aka Bud Light” scheme. Our decal depicts Western’s “Swizzle Stick” scheme on their 737-200 fleet.

  • KLM 747-206Bs Delivery Scheme

    Price range: $7.50 through $82.50
    KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took delivery of their first 747 in 1971. These seven 747-206s were delivered in KLM’s white-crown scheme. Our decal includes the  full cheatline including the very thin white pinstripe below the dark blue area.  Our depicts this classic KLM scheme on the 747-200.

  • AeroMexico DC-10s, Late Schemes

    Price range: $7.50 through $33.00
    AeroMexico was a loyal Douglas aircraft customer, and their first wide-bodied aircraft, the DC-10 arrived in 1974. AeroMexico operated four of the long-range DC-10-30s and two of the shorter range, high performance DC-10-15s. Our decal depicts the final two schemes used by AeroMexico on their DC-10 fleet.

  • Korean Air DC-10-30s

    Price range: $7.50 through $55.00
    In March 1984, Korean Air took delivery of four DC-10-30 aircraft. A fifth frame would be leased from Japan Air System (JAS) from 1988 to 1989. All five aircraft would eventually wear the late 1980s baby blue color scheme, though HL7329 would vary slightly by retaining a bare metal lower belly. This decal provides the markings for any of the five Diesel-Tens operated by Korean.

  • Delta Air Lines DC-10s, Delivery Colors

    Price range: $7.50 through $88.00
    Acting as a hedge against the delays with the Lockheed Tristar program, Delta Air Lines placed an order for five DC-10-10s. These DC-10s were sold and immediately leased back from United Airlines, and were only operated from October 1972 to May 1975. For a short period in the early 1970s, Delta had the unique distinction of operating the DC-10, L-1011 and 747 simultaneously.

  • United Airlines “Friend Ship” DC-10s

    Long time Douglas customer United Airlines was an early operator of the DC-10 trijet taking delivery of the first of an initial batch of 25 DC-10-10s in 1971. All 25 were delivered in the classic United “Friend Ship” scheme which our decal depicts.

  • Air France DC-10-30

    After UTA was merged into Air France, UTA’s five DC-10s migrated into the Air France fleet and lasted only a short while thereafter. Our decal depicts the sole DC-10 which was repainted into Air France colors - N54649.

  • UTA DC-10-30s

    Price range: $7.50 through $55.00
    Union de Transports Aériens - UTA was a French airline which was absorbed into Air France starting in 1990. UTA operated seven DC-10-30s, five of which migrated to Air France and lasted only a short while thereafter. Our decal depicts the classic “Green Door” UTA livery for their DC-10s.

  • Hasegawa DC-10 Coroguard, Dark Gray

    Price range: $7.50 through $55.00
    Set contains one ship set of wing coroguard (inspar panels) for the wings and stabs of the Hasegawa DC-10 kit. Decal is designed to exactly fit inside the scribing on the Hasegawa kit only. This set is a darker gray color.  All scale options OTHER THAN the  1:200 version are rescaled versions of the 1:200 set and may or may not exactly fit your model.  Please also note the Hasegawa kits are DC-10-30 / -40s which have longer wings than a DC-10-10 / -15.

  • Finnair DC-10-30s

    Price range: $7.50 through $88.00
    Starting in 1975, Finnair became a wide-body operator when the first of five DC-10-30s was delivered. The fleet was eventually retired as the larger MD-11 trijets were delivered. Our decal depicts the classic Finnair livery for the DC-10s.

  • Korean Air 727-200s

    From 1980 through 1996, Korean Air operated a fleet of former All Nippon Airways 727-281s. At its peak, the fleet included 12 frames. This decal provides the markings for the current Korean Air colors, which were applied in the 1980s, and worn until the aircraft left the fleet.

How did we get our Name?
My father is a US Army-trained draftsman, and  he always signed his drawings with the initials “DRAW.”   Since we have to DRAW our decals, and DRAW is also the first four letters of my last name, it seemed to be a natural name for our company.

What is the idea behind DRAW Decal?
I produce airline decals that normally would not be popular enough to justify mass producing. Each decal is printed as demand warrants, one page at a time by a professional print house. This makes for slow production, but it allows us to individually inspect each decal and to also update the decal sets as the need arises. While these production sets are all currently available, they are only produced (i.e. printed) as they are ordered. I have no large pile of unsold, unpopular decals to contend with this way. Our decals are as close to custom-made as possible.

Who creates your art? 
The art work for our decals is created by a group of artists, with each one contributing sets of their own unique design and preference. Currently, DRAW Decal offers decals designed by:  Tim Bradley, Mike Egan, Norm Filer, Mike Jernfors, Jeff Thomsen and yours truly, Greg Drawbaugh. Each set is identified by whom designed it unless I was the one who designed it.

How do I do that?
Our decals are printed in our exclusive Next Generation DIGITAL Silk process using a large format digital printer that prints white ink. We do NOT sell ANY laser-printed decals. Laser printers are for printing instruction sheets, not printing decals.

We are made the switch to our latest Next Generation DIGITAL Silk process to provide what we believe to be among the highest quality decals in the industry. We also want to be able to provide subjects that just would not print well using any other process. Quality and value have always been our driving force, and we continue to push the limits of what our printer and artwork is capable of producing.  We operate under a continual improvement process for all of our decals.

Do you run out of stock?
No, as I print decals only as they are ordered. This ensures that the decals are fresh and never out of stock. This also allows me to make corrections and additions to each set as they occur.

Once applied, these decals will look just like they were painted on, rather than just “stickers” applied over a paint job. Remember, the art of decaling is making it look like you did not use any decals!
