In January 2019, the first 737-800 joined the FedEx network. The aircraft, G-NPTD, is operated by West Atlantic in FedEx’s European network. The aircraft was transferred to West Atlantic Sweden in October 2020.
In the summer of 2016, Amazon unveiled the first aircraft of its new Prime Air network. The fleet has expanded into the narrowbody segment, utilizing 737-800Fs, operated by three contract airlines - Southern Air, Sun Country, and ASL Airlines of Ireland
Dutch charter carrier Transavia leases out their aircraft to other airlines for short-term leases. One such lease was a six-month old 737-800 to Aloha Airlines during the winter 2007-2008 season to operate in between Sacramento and Maui.Â
