Starting in 1998, Lufthansa Cargo operated a fleet of 19 MD-11Fs. The big Trijets were drawn down as the newer 777Fs were added to the fleet. For a period in the mid-2000s, MD-11F D-ALCE of Lufthansa Cargo wore a special paint scheme to mark Lufthansa’s membership in the WOW cargo alliance (along with Japan Airlines, SAS and Singapore Airlines). In February 2018, Lufthansa unveiled an update to its long-serving paint scheme. Gone is the yellow in the tail crane logo, and the resulting look is that of yet another white whale livery. This decal provides the markings for Lufthansa Cargo’s MD-11 fleet in these new colors. In June 1995, Korean Air converted the first of its five very young McDonnell-Douglas MD-11 aircraft into a dedicated freighter. All five frames would become freighters, and all would be gone from the fleet by May of 2005. This decal provides the markings for these aircraft in their cargo markings for Korean Air Cargo.
